Biography

2025 (Redshirt junior)
Made six appearances with one start. Recorded six strikeouts in 7.2 innings. Collected a season-high two strikeouts on March 25 against San Jose State.

2024 (Redshirt Sophomore)
Made 20 appearances. Struck out 19 batters in 28.0 innings. Was one of three Tigers to earn two victories. Recorded four strikeouts in a season-long 4.0 innings on March 24 against Pepperdine.

2022 (Freshman) 
Made 19 appearances with one start. Struck out 26 batters in 24.1 innings pitched. Was one of three Tigers pitchers to have more strikeouts than innings pitched. Recorded four strikeouts in 2.0 innings against Oral Roberts (3/5) and struck our four against Gonzaga (3/18) in 3.0 innings pitched. 

High School
Appeared in eight games his senior year on the mound with seven starts. Pitched 31.1 innings with 52 strikeouts and a 1.34 ERA. In his career he had 20 appearances with a 2.44 ERA, two no hitters, a perfect game, 109 strikeouts, and pitched 77.1 innings. At the plate, McKinney hit .511 his senior year in 15 games with nine doubles and two home runs and 20 RBI.
