Benefits
Athletic representatives may not provide any benefits or special arrangements to an enrolled student-athlete or his or her family or friends unless expressly permitted by NCAA rules. Examples of extra benefits include, but are not limited to:
- A loan of money, gift, or use of a credit card
- Any signing or co-signing arrangements
- Rent-free or reduced-cost housing
- Payment for work not performed
- Shoes or apparel
- Use of automobile
- Transportation to or from work or school
- Free or reduced cost on any item or service
- Birthday/Wedding gifts
- Complimentary tickets to events/entertainment
- Guarantee of bond
- Office or home telephone use;
- Free typing service;
- Free use of a copy or fax machine Â
Occasional Meals
Athletics representatives may provide an enrolled student-athlete or an entire team with an occasional meal. Before the meal can occur, an Occasional Meal form needs to be completed and submitted in the ARMS system by the coach and approved by the Compliance Office.
Tickets
Athletic representatives cannot purchase or agree to purchase complimentary admissions from a current student-athlete for any item of value.
