In addition to the majestic view from the top of the Notre Dame Cathedral, the trek up provided an additional reward for Shanice Butler and Ashley Wakefield.

"For me, the most memorable thing is going to be the steps. Being able to see everything -- and I'm afraid of heights. And claustrophobic. The stairwell and stairs were tiny. My feet could barely fit on the steps. It was a good workout for the day and the view was worth the steps."
-- Junior center Shanice Butler, August 17

"I think that will be the most memorable because that was a lot of stairs to climb. I'm scared of heights, so it meant a lot to me to push myself and overcome it to be able to see everything at the top. I'm more fulfilled by doing things that need a little bit of hard work. I like to be challenged."
-- Senior guard Ashley Wakefield, August 17
