Junior (2014):
Immediately taking over as the Tigers'' starting second baseman, Gosano struggled early before finding his groove offensively in WCC play late in the year. He ended his first season at Pacific hitting .231 with 11 RBI and 15 runs scored. In conference games, Gosano posted a .287 average and drove in all 11 of his RBI against WCC foes. Despite his early offensive struggles, Jimmy was a constant with the glove as he finished with a .973 fielding percentage. Gosano''s standout performance in 2014 came against Santa Clara on Mar. 30 when he went 3-for-4 with a career-best four RBI.
Previous School (Long Beach CC):
Played two seasons at Long Beach CC playing multiple infield positions. As a sophomore he hit .210 with 15 RBI, 10 runs scored, and one home run in 31 games. He posted four multi-hit games including tallying back-to-back three-hit games against Pasadena to end the year. In the field, Gosano posted a .972 fielding percentage in the middle of the diamond, committing just five errors in 177 chances. As a freshman, he hit .209 in 31 games, picking up 18 hits in 86 at bats. He had six multi-hit games including a three-hit endeavor against Southwestern on Feb. 22.
High School:
The captain at Lakewood High School, Gosano led the Lancers to their second-straight Moore League title as a senior in 2011 after going 29-5-1 overall and 11-1 in league play. He hit .333 with 33 hits in 99 at bats while driving in 26 and scoring 30 runs. He earned all-league honors for his play as a senior. As a junior, the Lancers won their first league title under Gosano as he hit .287 with 27 hits to go along with 10 RBI and 16 runs scored.
