2021-22 (Senior) 
All-Academic MPSF Scholar-Athlete. Swam the leadoff leg of the 400-yard medley relay that placed fifth at MPSF. Placed 21st in the 200 IM at MPSF Championships, 25th in the 100 backstroke and 27th in the 200 backstroke at MPSF Championships. 

2020-21 (Sophomore) 
At the UC Davis meet, swam the opening leg placing first-place in the 200 medley relay. At the MPSF Championships, swam the 200 IM, placing 21^st; the 100 back, placing 25^th; and the 200 back, placing 27^th. Swam the opening leg on the fifth-place 400 medley relay. Also swam the opening leg on the 200 medley relay.

2019 (at American River College)
Mackenzie Ayala spent her freshman season with American River College. There she was a 9x All-American and a 7x All-League Big 8.
 
High School
Ayala attended Antelope High School in Antelope, CA. In the CVC Ayala earned Capital Valley Conference Champion in the 100 free and the 200 free in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Ayala was a 4-time Varsity MVP, and a 3 time All-League in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
