Opened the season teamed with Danna in the #5 Flight and had a win and a loss to start. Got back in the lineup at the end of the year for the WCC Championship, teamed with Saler in the #5 Flight (1-3). Picked up a tournament win over San Francisco.
Prior to Pacific: Kalaj joins the Tigers as a mid-year transfer from Western Michigan, where she spent the first two years of her collegiate career. In her first year with the Broncos indoors, Kalaj recorded 167 digs, averaging 2.98 digs per set and double-digit digs across 15 matches before being held out by injury for the remainder of the season. In those 15 matches, she also totaled 10 aces, 17 assists, and 5 kills, including assisting in an 11-4 start to the 2018 season for WMU.
High School: As a 5'3" defensive specialist/libero, Kalaj was a two-year letter winner at Lake Orion High School. Overall, she tallied 701 digs, 602 service receptions and 64 aces during her 2017 senior season. Impressively, these efforts earned her recognition with both All-League and All-Region honors, as well as Second Team All-State honors and an honorable mention on Detroit News' Top Volleyball Player List of 2017.
