Biography
Senior (2018)
Maycie LaBass paired with Andie Shelton as Pacific''s top flight for eight of the Tigers 23 games. Also pairing iwth Skylar Wine and Emily Baptista, LaBass finished with an 8-11 record. Was named to the All-West Coast Conference Second Team.
Junior (2017)
LaBass paired with Katrin Gotterba as the No. 2 flight, going 6-7 on the season, which included a win over No. 16 California on Mar. 4.
Sophomore (2016)
LaBass had a successful year playing with Katrin Gotterba as the two went 6-2 together. LaBass also played with Mia Feiner, going 4-3 in that pairing. She had 18 kills and 25 digs against USF, both season-highs. LaBass managed nine blocks on the year, putting up three against New Mexico in a game that also saw her record 17 kills and 21 digs. LaBass had 31 service errors and on the year and hit .246 overall.
Freshman (2015)
In her first year in the sand, LaBass saw action as both an exhibition player and as a full-time Tiger playing alongside of super senior Megan Birch at the No. 4 spot in the order. Beginning the year in exhibition play, LaBass, along with Katrin Gotterba, sported an 8-2 record at No. 6 before moving into the full line up midyear. Playing with Birch, the Tigers'' were nearly perfect at No. 4 as LaBass and Birch went 6-1 in seven matches. In all, LaBass finished her first season with 180 kills on .356 hitting while tallying 184 digs and 31 aces.
High School
Maycie spent her prep years at Gregori High School in Modesto, Calif. from which she graduated in 2014. A true six-rotation outside hitter for the Jaguars, LaBass has been one of the architects of Gregori HS volleyball as the school came into existence in 2010. Making her mark on the program, LaBass established herself as one of the top players in the area as she was named the Modesto Bee''s Player of the Year in 2012 as a junior, beating out fellow Tiger Andie Shelton for the honor. As a junior, LaBass led the Jaguars to a 33-4 overall record, a MMC title, and a runner-up finish in the section championships. She averaged nearly six kills per game and ranked first in the section in kills with 579 and kills per set at 5.8 per set. In addition LaBass paced the Jaguars in digs (279) and ranked second in blocks (37) and aces (74). As a senior, LaBass led the Jaguars to their third-straight conference title as they have posted a 12-0 record in the MMC and a 38-4 overall record. Outside of high school, LaBass is a member of the Rage Volleyball club.
Personal
Maycie Renee LaBass is the daughter of Robin and Jim LaBass. She has two older siblings, Levi and Karly.
