Biography

Sophomore (2018)
Emily Baptista rejoined the beach squad nearly halfway into the season due to injury. Went 6-8 with a 3-2 record with partner Hanne De Schrijver and a 3-5 record with teammate Maycie LaBass. 

Freshman (2017)
Baptista was 6-7 on the season, playing as a member of both the No. 3 and No. 4 flights. Was selected to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman Team.

High School:
Baptista wrapped up a stellar four-year career that has included four-straight Trans Valley League (TVAL) titles and ended with a 39-match league winning streak that dated back to the end of her freshman season in 2012. She was named the Modesto Bee''s Player of the Year as a senior as she ranked first in the section in kills by a wide margin with 579 kills. Baptista also was first in kills per set (5.2), fifth in hitting percentage (.428) and 11th in aces (91). As a junior, Baptista led Hilmar to 38 wins and a perfect 10-0 league record before falling in the section championship game. She posted a California state-leading 751 kills (6.2kps), 510 digs (4.2dps) and 98 service aces en route to earning her second TVAL Player of the Year award. Additionally, Baptista was named to the MaxPreps 2014 CA Volleyball All-State team as well as to the 2014 Underclass All-American Girls Volleyball Team. The 2013 Sun-Star Volleyball Player of the Year and the TVAL Player of the Year, Baptista led Hilmar to a Trans-Valley League title at 12-0, a Sac-Joaquin Section title appearance and the NorCal semifinals as just a sophomore.
