2018 (Senior):
Made a career-high 25 appearances and four starts in the circle for the Orange and Black her final season. Pitched 64.0 innings of work, logged 40 strikeouts, and recorded a conference-low 18 walks for the Tigers during the year. Earned her first win of the season versus Montana (Feb. 9) finishing with a career-best seven strikeouts in 4.0 innings pitched. Hit the five-K mark twice against against No. 7 LSU (Feb. 22) and North Texas (March 13). Her 2.84 ERA and 26 earned runs were the lowest by any Tiger pitcher all season. Finding her way to the closing role, Walters became the program''s all-time save leader in a 5-1 Senior Day victory against Santa Clara (Apr. 29) pitching 3.0 innings and striking out two batters. The Valley Springs, Calif. native finished her career at Pacific with 11 saves and 87 appearances.
2017 (Junior):
Made 20 appearances in the circle for the Tigers, two of which were starts, and logged three saves. Recorded 27 strikeouts in just over 39 innings and allowed just one home run on the year. Logged a career-high six strikeouts against #23 California (Mar. 1) in just 3.2 innings of work. Her first save of the season came against Princeton (Mar. 21) as she tossed a scoreless 1.2 innings with two strikeouts. In the 12-4 route of Missouri-Kansas City (Mar. 25) she went all five innings with three strikeouts for her first complete game victory. She wrapped up the regular season with a save against Saint Mary’s (May 7) to help Pacific get their ninth-straight victory.
2016 (Sophomore):
On the mound, Walters posted a 3.99 ERA in 17 appearances for the Tigers, going 3-4 with three saves. In 61.1 innings the sophomore struck out 21 batters while only walking 20. She logged a season-high three strikeouts against Purdue (Feb 27). Walters earned her first collegiate win against Boise St. (Mar 4), pitching 3.1 innings in relief.
2015 (Freshman):
Walters was a key member of the Pacific pitching staff in her first season as a Tiger. She appeared in 15 games, making three starts and compiling a 4.47 ERA in 47 innings pitched. In conference games she excelled, pitching 16.1 innings of relief and allowing just one earned run, good for a 0.43 ERA. Against Loyola Marymount on April 19th, Walters pitched 5.1 innings of scoreless relief, allowing just one hit and striking out a pair. Against Saint Mary''s on May 8th, she reprised the versatile long relief role, allowing seven hits and no earned runs. Walters recorded her first career save on April 25th at Santa Clara.
High School:
Walters excelled in the circle during her senior campaign at Caleveras High, compiling an 18-5 record and a 1.73 ERA with 16 complete games and five shutouts in 25 appearances. Megan held opponents to a .178 batting average and was named to the All-Mother Lode League First team following the season after leading the Calaveras squad to a 13-2 record in conference.
