2014 (Junior):
Kama appeared in 22 games for the Tigers in 2014, including 14 starts, splitting time between third base and designated player. She recorded two hits on the season and scored five runs, including two in an extra-inning triumph over Loyola Marymount on April 12. Pitoy started at DP against Hawai''i on March 6 in a return to her hometown of Honolulu.
2013 (Sophomore):
In her second season in the Orange and Black, Kama saw action in 29 games, primarily coming off the bench as a pinch runner for the Tigers. Additionally, she started one game in right field for Pacific against Hawai''i on May 10. Against the Rainbow Wahine, Kama had a career weekend as she posted three hits in four trips to the plate while driving in her first collegiate RBI on the final day of the season. On the bases, Pitoy scored eight runs in pinch-running duty.
2012 (Freshman):
Walking on the team in her first year at Pacific, Kama made an impact for the Tigers off the bench in 12 contests. Playing both as a pinch hitter and in right field, Pitoy went 1-for-5 at the plate while scoring six runs. She earned one start on the year as the first-year player took over right field against No. 14 Texas A&M on Feb. 25. She picked up her first collegiate hit in her first collegiate at bat as she came in as a pinch hitter against BYU on Feb. 23.
High School:
A 2011 graduate of Roosevelt HS in Honolulu, Hawaii, Kamalei was a three-sport athlete as she excelled in volleyball, soccer and softball for the Rough Riders. An all-conference caliber player in all three sports, Pitoy was at her best on the softball diamond as she earned four varsity letters. Leading the way for the Rough Riders, Pitoy pushed Roosevelt to its first Oahu Interscholastic Association division championship in 2009 before taking home a second place finish in the Hawaii state championships. In 2010 and 2011, the Rough Riders made their way into the league championship tournament before bowing out of postseason play. For her play, Kamalei was twice named to the all-state second team.
High School:
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Lei and Kalei Pitoy, Kamalei has three younger siblings, Kainalu, Kekoa and Kanilehua. In her fourth year at Pacific, she is studying computer science with a concentration in software engineering.
