Biography

High School: 
A catcher/utility player from St. Francis High School in Sacramento, Calif., O''Mara was one of the top all-around talents out of Northern California as both a superior offensive and defensive catcher. A four-year varsity letterwinner at St. Francis, O''Mara has earned all-league honors in each of the last three seasons. As a senior, O''Mara averaged .574 at the plate while leading the Troubadors to a 16-9 record. As a junior, O''Mara finished fourth in the Delta River League in hitting as she posted a .430 batting average tallying 34 hits in 79 at bats. She scored a team-best 19 runs and drove in 13 more to lead the way for the Troubadours. Behind the plate, O''Mara threw out two-thirds of the runners attempting to steal as she caught 12 of the 18 daring to steal. As a sophomore, O''Mara hit .391 with 26 runs scores and 14 RBI.

Personal:
Bailey is the daughter of Steve and Cindy O''Mara. When she is not playing softball, Bailey enjoys traveling, reading novels, listening to music and taking her dog to the dark park. Her great-grandfather Mike de la Pena played handball in the 1932 Los Angeles olympics and is a member of the National Handball Hall of Fame.
