Biography

Freshman (2015-16)
In her first season with the Tigers, Whitnee Wehi appeared in two games, and totaled 7 minutes of action. She scored 2 points on 1-of-1 shooting for the season, with an assist and a steal. Put up all her stats in two minutes of action at Pepperdine (Feb. 13) and played five minutes against Portland (Feb. 18).

High School/Club
Wehi, originally from New Zealand, attended John Paul College (High School) in Brisbane, Australia. She played club basketball for South West Metro, for whom she averaged 13 points and 13 rebounds per contest while blocking 1.7 shots per game.

"Whitnee brings with her great experience at the school, club and national level," head coach Bradley Davis said. "She is a real presence in the paint both in scoring and on the boards, and she is able to be disruptive on the defensive end.  Beyond her abilities on the basketball court, Whitnee is great fit for our program and our Pacific community.

She was a member of the 2014 New Zealand Junior Tall Ferns team for the Under 19 Australian Nationals tournament, and with the Tall Ferns went on a team tour to China. She also was tabbed for the Queensland Women''s Under-20 Squad in 2014.

Daughter of Peter and Josepha Wehi. Intends to major in Sport Science.
