SAN BRUNO, Calif. – After batting .611 across four games last week, senior
Jake Tandy was named Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.
Tandy, a native of West Sacramento, California, went 11-for-18 with seven runs, seven RBIs, three doubles and two home runs over the four-game stretch against California and San Diego. This is the first weekly award of the season for Tandy and second of his career after previously earning the accolade on March 17, 2025.
Through 48 games, Tandy paces Pacific with a career-high 42 RBIs along with five home runs on the 2026 campaign. His five home runs has tied his career mark from a season ago. Tandy is hitting .311 and slugging .472 on the year, which both rank third on the Tigers.
Tandy and the Tigers look to continue swinging hot bats this week with a four-game road trip to conclude the regular season. Pacific will play Cal State Bakersfield as the final non-conference opponent of the regular season on Tuesday at 5 p.m. from Hardt Field. The Tigers will wrap up the regular season conference slate at Portland, beginning Thursday, May 14.
