Track & Field Competes at Stanford for First Time Since 2023

PALO ALTO, Calif. – The Pacific men's and women's track and field program heads to The Farm Friday for the Payton Jordan Invitational, hosted by Stanford at Cobb Track and Angell Field.

It's just the second time this decade that the Tigers make their way to a Stanford-hosted outdoor track meet since the Cardinal Classic on March 18, 2023.

Competing last time out at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Leopard Invitational, a trio of Tigers wrote their names in the Pacific record books with personal best times in junior Gianna Solano, sophomore Angelina Lione and junior Jack Weber.

Lione and Weber will represent two of the 18 Pacific participants competing in Stanford tomorrow. Lione, who cruised into breaking the Pacific women's 10k record, clocking a time of 35:58.28 in Azusa, California, will run in the women's 5k where she has posted the top mark in that race this season at 16:47.95.

Weber will compete in the men's 800-meter race with his personal best of 1:53.66. Weber will be joined by freshman Jett Davenport, junior Samuel Lanham, sophomore Kohl Sanders and freshman Edmond Zimmer – all of which have set PRs in that event.

Junior Amir Brooks will look to keep his groove going in the men's 400-meter dash as he owns a team-best time of 51.41.

Senior Serena Yee will go at it in a pair of events, looking to break her personal bests in the triple jump and high jump at Stanford.

The Payton Jordan Invitational is a one-day meet with the first field events beginning at 3 p.m. and track events starting at 3:45 p.m. in the Bay Area. Live results can be found here.
