STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's and women's track and field program will divide and conquer this weekend, going to the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, hosted by San Francisco State at Cox Stadium, and the Brutus Hamilton Invitational, hosted by California at Edwards Stadium.
The Tigers will send their distance runners to compete primarily at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic from April 3-4, while a dozen more will participate in Berkeley, California at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational on Saturday.
Spearheading the men participating in the competitions will be junior
Jack Weber, who will take charge in the 1,500-meter and 5,000-meter runs. Weber is one of four Tigers competing in the 1,500-meter run, and one of seven Tigers going at it in the men's 5k.
The 3,000-meter steeplechase will see junior
Logan Evans pace Pacific with his time of 9:20.55 from earlier this season.
Senior
Serena Yee will lead the group heading to the Bay Area for the Brutus Hamilton Invitational. Yee will compete as the triple jump representative for Pacific with a season-best distance of 11.17 meters.
Sophomore
Jonathan Jones will also compete in the triple jump on the men's side, in addition to the long jump with his season best of 6.49 meters.
The Mike Fanelli Track Classic runs for two days, beginning Friday with all meet information found
