SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Hitting .625 across four road games last week, redshirt sophomore
Robert Orr was announced Monday afternoon as West Coast Conference Player of the Week.
Orr, a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, went 10-for-16 with three runs, five RBIs, two doubles and two home runs over the four-game road stretch against San Jose State and Nevada. This is the first weekly award for Orr, who is the first Tiger to earn the honors since senior
Jake Tandy last season on March 17, 2025, after hitting .550 in five road games.
Pacific (6-9) has been scorching hot offensively of late, led by the plate discipline and power from Orr as he carries a team-best .436 batting average with 11 runs, 11 RBIs and four home runs in 15 games. Orr's .436 clip ranks second among qualified WCC hitters, and his four round trippers are tied for fourth most in the conference.
Orr and the Tigers look to continue swinging hot bats this week with a four-game home-and-home set against Sacramento State. The first two games will be played Wednesday and Friday at John Smith Field, followed by home games at Klein Family Field on Saturday and Sunday.
