Men’s Golf Looks Ahead to Lamkin Invitational

CHULA VISTA, Calif. – Fresh off a runner-up finish as a team last week, the Pacific men's golf program gets back to work on Monday at the Lamkin Invitational, co-hosted by San Diego and San Diego State at San Diego Country Club.

The Tigers are sitting comfortably amongst the top 70 golf programs in the country, checking in at No. 67 following a second-place team positioning at The Watney Invitational a week ago. Pacific will be one of 16 programs competing across the two-day tournament.

Leading the charge for the Tigers has been redshirt junior Deitrek Gill and his 70.8 scoring average so far this year. Gill, who is ranked No. 308 individually in the nation, collected a fourth-place finish singlehandedly last time out with a one-under par.

Senior Travis Robbie and sophomore Brasen Briones also cracked the top 20 of the individual leaderboard at The Watney Invitational, looking to make headway once again in the San Diego region this week.

Senior Timothy Jung and sophomore Felix Bouchard round out Pacific's lineup for the Lamkin Invitational, while redshirt senior Daniel Henely makes a return, competing as an individual this week for his second appearance of the 2025-26 campaign.

Highlighting this week's competition for Pacific is a quartet of top 50 ranked programs, including Colorado, San Diego State, BYU and Long Beach State. West Coast Conference opposing teams featured in the field are San Francisco, Saint Mary's and San Diego.

The Lamkin Invitational will be a two-day tournament, beginning with 36 holes on Monday with a 7:45 a.m. shotgun start time. The final 18 holes will be played the following day at 8 a.m. start time. Live scoring for the event can be found here.
