Pacific Takes on Stockton Ports in Exhibition Contest Tuesday

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific baseball program will get a taste of professional baseball this week, facing the Stockton Ports on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. from Banner Island Ballpark.

The Tigers (10-17, 2-4 WCC) take a break from their West Coast Conference slate for a battle of Stockton on Tuesday night, showcasing some of the best in college and professional baseball.

The Ports, one of the founding members of the California Baseball League in 1941, are the single-A affiliate of the Athletics of Major League Baseball and have seen college players come through their system to play in the pros.

The Tigers have three players on their squad from Stockton, California, including sophomore Diego Davis, who is looking forward to playing in a ballpark he grew up going to as a fan.

"I'm super excited to get to play against the Stockton Ports, a team that I have watched growing up," Davis said. "Being from Stockton, it will be very exciting to play at Banner Island in front of the community and the local fans."

Another local product from Stockton, California, redshirt junior Carson Revay has been a resourceful releiver out of the bullpen, sporting a 3.16 earned run average in 33.2 innings with 31 strikeouts and a team-leading four saves.

Redshirt sophomore Robert Orr leads the Pacific offense with a .333 batting average, blasting a team-best five home runs, including in the Tigers' last victory on Sunday over Gonzaga. Orr paces Pacific in hits, doubles, home runs and slugging percentage, all while playing exceptional defense at shortstop with a 99.2% fielding percentage.

The Ports finished the 2025 season with a 57-75 record (.432), ranking fourth in the California League North Division. Darryl Kennedy will take the helm for the Ports in 2026 after serving as manager for the Lansing Lugnuts in 2025.

In addition to the action on the field, local fans can look forward to player autograph sessions before the game and concession specials geared towards Stockton residents and Pacific students and staff.

The meeting between the Tigers and the Ports marks the first time they clash since March 30, 1998. The game in 1998 served as a preview of the Ports team before their California League season opener against the Modesto A's that year.

This is not the first time head coach Reed Peters has faced the Ports. In April of 2022, the Ports defeated the San Joaquin Delta Mustangs, 5-3, with the game serving as a community-focused showcase of the local baseball talent.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. from Banner Island Ballpark. The game will not be televised or streamed. There will be no live stats to follow as well.
