Baseball Greets Gonzaga to Conclude Homestand

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific baseball program continues West Coast Conference action, facing Gonzaga in a three-game series beginning Friday at 6 p.m. from Klein Family Field.

The Tigers (9-15, 1-2 WCC) look to get back on track after dropping their first WCC series of the year to Seattle at home last week, while the Bulldogs (10-12, 2-1 WCC) represent a tougher task this weekend to conclude a ten-game homestand.

Pacific's offense has been fueled by the recent performance of redshirt sophomore JT Shank, who went 4-for-9 in his first conference series of the year with a triple, a home run, four runs and two RBIs.

As a whole, redshirt sophomore Robert Orr sports the best hitting average of the Tigers, slashing .329 with a team-best four home runs and 13 RBIs.

Pitching has been carried by the pair of redshirt junior Zach Todd and redshirt junior Garret Plata. Both starters own sub-three ERAs with a combined 67 strikeouts in 53.1 innings of work. Redshirt junior Carson Revay leads the club with three saves, accompanied by a 2.96 earned run average.

Winners of three straight, Gonzaga comes to Stockton, California taking the final two of three at San Diego in its conference-opening series. The Bulldogs most recently walloped Washington State on Wednesday by a 19-8 margin. Their single-game season-high in runs, though, is 23 when they went to Indiana State in that non-conference series finale.

The Bulldogs are well disciplined across their lineup with four players tied for the team lead with four home runs. Mikey Bell paces the offense with a .309 clip.

Pacific has yet to defeat Gonzaga in a series since rejoining the West Coast Conference in 2013. The Tigers last won over the Bulldogs in the middle game of a home series in 2024 by an 8-2 margin. The Bulldogs swept the Tigers in Spokane last year.

All three games will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with a 6 p.m. first pitch Friday, 3 p.m. first pitch Saturday and a 1 p.m. first pitch Sunday. Dennis Ackerman will be on the call.
