TUCSON, Ariz. – The Pacific men's golf program competed across the last two days at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate, hosted by Arizona from Tucson Country Club.
The Tigers (+8) were carried by the strong performance of senior
Timothy Jung, who collected a team-leading six-under par for a top eight finish individually. As a team, Pacific completed the tournament in 12th place out of the 14-team field. Host Arizona won the field with a 25-under par.
Jung, a native of Corona, California, represented the bright spot of the five-man group for the Tigers as he notched six birdies in the second round to boost his score into the top five individually after Monday's action was halted by darkness. Jung's third round saw him even par the final 18 holes.
Redshirt junior
Deitrek Gill went on a tear on Tuesday, stringing seven birdies in a row to elevate his score into the top 20 individually. Gill registered a three-under par for the three-round total.
Sophomore
Brasen Briones, sophomore
Felix Bouchard and senior
Travis Robbie rounded out the team scoring and all completed their performances in the second half of the individual standings.
Up next, Pacific returns to the Golden State for the Goodwin Invitational, hosted by Stanford at Stanford Golf Course in Palo Alto, California on Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, March 28.
