Tigers Gear Up for Watney Invitational

FRESNO, Calif. – The Pacific men's golf program kicks off its March slate at the Watney Invitational, hosted by Fresno State at San Joaquin Country Club from Monday, March 2 to Tuesday, March 3.

The Tigers are coming off a three-week break following a heavily competitive tournament at the Amer Ari Invitational in Hawaii. This week, Pacific will represent one of 14 teams in this year's Watney Invitational, joining Cal Baptist, Cal State Northridge, host Fresno State, Cal State Fullerton, Idaho, Nevada, Sacramento State, Seattle, Southern Utah, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, Utah State, and Utah Valley.

Last year, the Tigers earned a sixth-place finish in the 13-team field in the 2025 Nick Watney Invitational where the team also secured the top individual finish by Carlos Astiazaran.

A new face to the Tigers this year, sophomore Felix Bouchard has been a fixture in the lineup, averaging a 71.0 across 18 rounds this season.

Redshirt junior Deitrek Gill serves as the highest ranked Tiger nationally, checking in at No. 321 with a 70.9 stroke average.

Senior Travis Robbie carded a top 15 placement at last year's Nick Watney Invitational, finishing with a three-under par across the two days.

Sophomore Brasen Briones and senior Timothy Jung round out the Pacific lineup for the action beginning Monday while senior Ian Fritz will represent the Tigers as an individual.

The Watney Invitational is a two-day tournament with the first round on Monday, starting at 8 a.m. Live scoring can be found here.
