Pacific Earns 15th Place at Amer Ari Invitational

WAIMEA, Hawaii – The Pacific men's golf program put together its best performance in the final round of the 35thAmer Ari Invitational, hosted by Hawaii-Hilo, moving up two positions to 15th place on Saturday from the Mauna Lani Resort Golf Club.

The Tigers (-22) fought hard to finish line against one of the toughest 20-team fields of the season, carding a 15-under par in the third round. Auburn, the No. 5 ranked team in the country, led the field from the start to the end of 54 holes, earning the team tournament title with a 77-under par.

Senior Timothy Jung made the most of his final round, shooting a team-best seven-under par to serve as Pacific's top performer across the three days at seven-under par. Jung utilized a bogey-free front nine that featured six birdies to boost his score on the final day of competition into the top 50 of the individual leaderboard.

Senior Travis Robbie hit just one bogey across the final 18 holes, collecting a four-under par on Saturday to cap his tournament with a three-under par.

Sophomore Felix Bouchard tied Robbie with a three-under par total after securing a two-under par today.

Sophomore Brasen Briones completed his outing with a two-under par score in the last round to carve out an even par for the Amer Ari Invitational.

Redshirt junior Deitrek Gill rounded out the team scoring with a two-over par total. Senior Ian Fritz competed as an individual with an 11-over par.

The Tigers will continue their spring season in three weeks when the team takes part in the Watney Invitational, hosted by Fresno State from Monday, March 2 to Tuesday, March 3. Pacific finished the Fresno State-hosted tournament last year in sixth place.
