PHARR, Texas – The Pacific men's and women's swimming and diving program continued with day two of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Swimming & Diving Championships, hosted by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley at the City of Pharr-PSJA Natatorium.
The Tigers found a highlight in the form of freshman Raphael Vanhecke, who notched a school record in the men's 200 IM with a time of 1:46.20.
Vanhecke secured sixth place in the championship final of the 200 IM, collecting 13 points to Pacific's team total on the men's side. Vanhecke's time of 1:46.20 surpassed the previous record holder in that event, set by
Mitchell Hopper during the 2025 campaign (1:46.49).
Sophomore
Christina Agiomamitou made the most of her second day competition, earning a fifth-place nod in the women's 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:54.61 for 25 points toward Pacific.
In the 50 freestyle, sophomore
Nate Rasmussen swam a personal best in that event, clocking in a time of 20.21 for 11th place and six team points for the Tigers.
Junior
Lexxi Chavez completed her diving competitions at the conference met, rounding out her performance with the three-meter dive.
Through 16 events, the Pacific women sit in eighth place out of ten teams with 183 points while the men are in fifth out of sixth teams with 108 points. Northern Arizona leads the field on the women's side with 509.5 points and Air Force leads the men's standings with 298.5 points.
The Tigers will hit the pool once again for the next day of competition at the MPSF Championships tomorrow. The tournament central page for all information can be found
