WTEN Recap vs. Sac State 2026

Women’s Tennis Falls in Sunday Match to Sacramento State

STOCKTON, Calif. – On Sunday morning the Pacific women's tennis program dropped a 4-0 decision to Sacramento State, rounding out a five match homestand at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.

The team was put in an early deficit after the doubles portion following losses on doubles courts one and three. Singles was closer for the Tigers (0-6) but could not make up any ground. Losses on courts three, four and six put the match out of reach and resulted in a win for the Hornets (4-3).

Sophomore Milena Maiorova on court one had just started a third set when play was halted after winning the opening set. Court two was shaping up to be a battle as well as junior Indiya McLeod pushed her opponent to a tiebreak in set one and led early in the second set at the conclusion of the match.

The Tigers head south for the next pair of matches, traveling to Fullerton to take on Cal State Fullerton on Friday at 10 am before making the drive to UC Irvine a day later for a 10 am Saturday match. A Pacific win over CSUF would be the first since 2015 but the team has won the last two matches over UCI, most recently in 2018.
