Pacific Prepares for Pair of Road Meets at California and UC Davis

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's and women's swimming and diving program squares away for its final regular season tune-ups as the men will travel to face California on Thursday at noon from the Spieker Aquatics Complex while the women will head up the I-5 to face UC Davis on Saturday at noon from the Schaal Aquatics Center.

The Tigers enter this week's road competitions following a strong senior weekend at home with wins over Cal State East Bay and Simon Fraser. The Tigers on the women's side picked up a 189-70 victory over the Red Leafs and a 139-121 victory over the Pioneers on Sunday. The Pacific men impressed all weekend, collecting a 180.5-76.5 win over Simon Fraser.

Sophomore Nate Rasmussen and senior Mattia Giurgevich look to lead the men's squad into Berkeley on Thursday. Giurgevich paces the Tigers with 751.45 points this season while Rasmussen is not far behind with 751.00 points. Rasmussen has been named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Men's Athlete of the Week three times this season, including for last weekend's performance.

A standout on the women's side all season long, sophomore Christina Agiomamitou has been a catalyst in the freestyle events, ranking as the fifth-best women's swimmer in the MPSF with 728.80 points. Agiomamitou was named MPSF Women's Athlete of the Week for the first time this season earlier today alongside Rasmussen.

Senior Annelise Thomas has excelled in the backstroke this season primarily with her best 100 yard backstroke clocking in at 55.03 at the UNLV Invite on Dec. 16, 2025. Thomas has earned 659.95 points as a whole this season.

The Golden Bears own a 2-2 record through their 2025-26 campaign with wins over UC San Diego and USC.

The Aggies hold a 2-5 record that features victories over Cal State East Bay and New Mexico at home. UC Davis most recently dropped a road meet at Fresno State last weekend by a 165-127 margin.

Pacific and Cal meet for the sixth time since 2015 and first time since 2022. The Tigers seek their first victory over the Bears in that span.

The Tigers and the Aggies clash for eighth time in the last decade. Pacific looks to avenge a 150-110 loss to UC Davis last year in Stockton. The Tigers are 0-2 on the road in the head-to-head match-up since 2016.

Thursday's meet at Cal can be viewed live on the ACC Network on ESPN+ at noon.
