DAVIS, Calif. – The 2026 edition of Pacific women's tennis officially starts on Saturday with an 11 a.m. road match against UC Davis before coming home to face Fresno State on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.
The Tigers return six student-athletes from last season's team – highlighted by juniors
Milena Maiorova,
Indiya McLeod and
Rayna Sugai. Maiorova played most of her tennis on singles court two where she compiled an 8-9 record while McLeod played anywhere from courts one through four but was on court three the majority of her season with a 4-4 singles record. Sugai meanwhile held down court five most of the season and went 4-6.
Maiorova and Sugai teamed up quite a bit on doubles court three and put together a 4-5 record.
Against the Aggies last season, McLeod and Maiorova were part of pairs that took the doubles point but then faltered in singles to suffer a 6-1 setback. All-time versus UC Davis the Tigers are 6-14 but a win tomorrow would tie the series at five wins each playing in Davis.
The series history against Fresno State has skewed towards the Bulldogs with Pacific going 1-12 all-time but could see the collegiate debuts of freshmen
Pauline Lerminiaux,
Eden Kanon, and
Kaylie Cao. Graduate
Cindy Ung will also be making her return to Stockton after three years at CSUN. The graduate played her freshman year for Pacific in 2021-22.
Junior
Nahreen Cheam was the only Tiger in position to have won a point against Fresno State last season, taking the first set on court six before weather forced an early end to the match.
Sunday's home match will be live streamed on Track Tennis.
