SAN BRUNO, Calif. – For a second straight year, the Pacific men's golf program was picked to finish second in the West Coast Conference Preseason Poll, as announced by the conference on Friday.
The Tigers received 107 points with a first-place vote, standings 14 points back of Pepperdine in the 12-team WCC poll.
Following a strong fall campaign, redshirt junior
Deitrek Gill was named to the WCC Men's Golf Preseason Team. Gill was voted as one of the ten best players in the WCC by the conference's 12 head coaches.
Through five tournaments from the fall slate, Gill has compiled four top 20 individual finishes, including a runner-up finish at the 2025 Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational where the Tigers claimed the team tournament title for the first time since 2010. Across 15 rounds, Gill leads Pacific with an adjusted scoring average of 70.1.
Gill and the Tigers will start their seven-tournament spring schedule at the 2026 edition of the Amer Ari Invitational from Thursday, Feb. 5 to Saturday, Feb. 7 in Waimea, Hawaii.
