REDLANDS, Calif. – Coming off a 2-1 weekend on the east coast, the 10th-ranked Pacific men's water polo program will play a pair of matches Friday and two more Saturday at the Inland Empire Classic, hosted by the University of Redlands.

The Tigers will play Friday's matches at the Axelrood Aquatics Center against Cal Lutheran at 12:20 p.m., followed by a 6:40 p.m. game against Biola. Pacific will move to the Thompson Aquatic Center for Saturday's games against Redlands at 9 a.m. and Occidental at 2:20 p.m.

The Tigers began their season last weekend in Providence, Rhode Island where they beat Iona 18-7 and LIU 23-5 before falling to No. 3 Fordham 18-14. Pacific was led by the freshman duo of Borisz Kasa-Gal and Apostolos Georgaras who combined for 30 goals.

Kasa-Gal is the reigning West Coast Conference Newcomer of the Week winner. He registered a team-high 17 goals over the three games and tallied at least five scores in every contest. He set his career-high at seven goals in the victory over LIU.

Pacific is 4-0 all-time against Cal Lutheran, which will play its season-opener against the Tigers. Pacific and Biola will meet for the first-ever time, as Biola is 2-2 this year with wins over Mount St. Mary's and Ottawa.

The Tigers will meet Redlands (0-4) for the first-ever time. Pacific is 3-0 against Occidental (0-4) with the last meeting being a 13-10 win in 2022.

Pacific will play its home opener Friday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. against third-ranked Cal at the Eberhardt Aquatics Center.
