BREMERTON, Wash. – The Pacific men's golf program closed day one in ninth place at The Tindall, hosted by Washington on Monday at Gold Mountain Golf Course.
The Tigers swayed up and down a tightly packed team leaderboard all throughout the day, ultimately settling in with a two-under par before the second round was suspended due to darkness. BYU led the 14-team field with a 24-under par, followed by Utah (-18) and San Diego (-13).
Leading the charge for Pacific in the top 20 of the individual leaderboard was senior
Timothy Jung and redshirt junior
Deitrek Gill. Jung carded a two-under par after his opening day performance while Gill collected a one-under par.
Sophomore
Felix Bouchard bounced back and climbed into the top 30 individually. Although Bouchard did not finish his second round, he did finish at even par with two holes still to play in the second set of 18.
Junior
Justin Bai and senior
Travis Robbie rounded out the team scoring for Pacific, earning a one-over par and five-over par, respectively. Sophomore
Josh Stuart competed as an individual with a ten-over par across two rounds.
