Borisz Kasa-Gal from the Pacific men's water polo program was honored as the league's Newcomer of the Week.

Kasa-Gal shined in his collegiate debut this past weekend in Providence, Rhode Island. He registered a team-high 17 goals over three games and tallied at least five scores in every match.

The Budapest, Hungary native set his career-high at seven goals in a 23-5 victory over LIU. He also helped the Tigers oust Iona 18-7 in the season opener.

Kasa-Gal and the Tigers return to action this weekend when they compete in the Inland Empire Classic over four matches. The first game is against Cal Lutheran at 12:20 p.m. Friday in Redlands, California.
