No. 9 Men’s Water Polo Welcomes Team China-Shanghai, American River College for Exhibitions

STOCKTON, Calif. – Getting a taste of international competition, the ninth-ranked Pacific men's water polo program will host Team China-Shanghai in a unique exhibition at 7 p.m. Friday, followed by an exhibition against American River College at 12 p.m. Saturday at the Eberhardt Aquatics Center.
 
Both matches offer free general admission seating. The first 100 fans in attendance Friday will receive a free men's water polo cup giveaway.
 
China-Shanghai, coming from one of the leading water polo nations in Asia, is on a tour of Northern California and is participating in exhibitions throughout the region this week. They will battle San Jose State tonight before heading to Stockton.
 
American River College competes in the Big 8 Conference and is off to a 5-3 start this year. The Beavers won both the regular season and conference championships last season and advanced to the NorCal Regional Championship game.
 
Pacific carries a 6-2 record and has been led by the freshman duo of Apostolog Georgaras and Borisz Kasa-Gal, who have combined for three West Coast Conference Newcomer of the Week awards. Georgaras has netted 35 goals and Kasa-Gal 25.
 
Pacific's next regular season match-up is Friday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. when No. 2 USC comes to town.
