PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The 2025 season will get underway this weekend for the ninth-ranked Pacific men's water polo program when it plays Iona and LIU on Saturday, and t-No. 3 Fordham and No. 17 Brown on Sunday at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.

The matches are part of the Bruno Classic, hosted by Brown. The opener is at 7 a.m. (PT) against Iona, followed by another Saturday match against LIU at noon (PT). The Sunday schedule includes a 7:30 a.m. (PT) game against Fordham and concludes against Brown at 10:30 a.m. (PT).

Sophomore
Ori Buzaglo is the team's leading returning scorer with 18 goals in 2024 including 13 multi-goal performances. He's one of three returners to score at least 10 goals a year ago including sophomore
Yoav Rendler and fifth-year
Daniel Viscia.

The Tigers, who won the 2024 West Coast Conference Regular Season Championship, reloaded their roster with 10 newcomers. They come from five different countries including the U.S., Hungary, Greece, Montenegro and New Zealand. Pacific was picked third in the WCC Preseason Poll.

Pacific went 6-0 on the east coast last year, including 3-0 at the Bruno Classic. The Tigers beat Iona 22-11 in an exhibition match before knocking off Brown 21-11. Pacific is a perfect 4-0 all-time against Iona and 10-0 against Brown.

The Tigers are 1-0 all-time against LIU with the lone meeting being a 15-4 victory in 2022. Pacific is 2-1 against Fordham and are looking to avenge a 17-13 defeat from last season.
