STOCKTON, Calif. – Four seasons get underway this week as men's cross country, women's cross country, men's water polo and volleyball all compete on the road. It will be the inaugural race for men's cross country after the sport was added in May. Men's soccer will play their home opener Sunday when they host Utah Tech at 7 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 31 - Men's Soccer hosts Utah Tech, 7 p.m.
 
Thursday, Aug. 28 - Women's Soccer (1-2-1) at CSU Bakersfield (0-4) - The Pacific women's soccer program continues its two-game stretch on the road, traveling to face Cal State Bakersfield for its lone match of the week. The Tigers own a 4-2 all-time record against the Roadrunners, who are preparing for their home opener after four straight road matches to begin their 2025 campaign.

Friday, Aug. 29 - Men's & Women's Cross Country at University of San Francisco Invitational - The Tigers are preparing for their first cross country meet of the season, heading to the USF Invitational at Golden Gate Park. While the women are squared away for their 39th season in program history, the men are set to debut its new program under first-year head coach Isaac Wood on Friday.

Friday, Aug. 29 - Volleyball (0-0) vs. Cal Baptist (0-0), 2 p.m. - Paicfic opens its 2025 season with a program first matchup against the Lancers of Cal Baptist. Head Coach Greg GIbbons has 15 new faces to the roster compared to three returners, but of those three is senior Jayhlin Swain, who dug 524 balls last season - good for the second most in a single season in program history. In the last ten seasons, the Tigers have kicked off the season against a mid major opponent four times, winning three of them.

Saturday, Aug. 30 - No. 9 Men's Water Polo (0-0) vs. Iona (0-0), 7 a.m. (PT) - The season gets underway for the Tigers in a neutral-site match-up, hosted by Brown. Pacific welcomed 10 newcomers from a team that won the WCC Regular Season Championship last year. The Tigers beat Iona 22-11 in an exhibition match last year and are 4-0 all-time against Iona in a counted matchups.

Saturday, Aug. 30 - No. 9 Men's Water Polo (0-0) vs. LIU (0-0), 12 p.m. (PT) - Pacific plays its second game in the same day against LIU. The Tigers won the only previous matchup 15-4 in 2022 at a neutral site in La Verne, California.

Saturday, Aug. 30 - Volleyball (0-0) at CSU Northridge (0-0), 6 p.m. - Also among the returning Tigers is senior Logan Blutreich who makes her return to the court after missing 2024 due to injury. In her last healthy season, she was second on the team in blocks per set  and will be paired with incoming graduate transfer Valentina Varani in the middle from Coastal Carolina. Against the Matadors, Pacific is 17-12 all-time and another win would tie the series in Northridge.

Sunday, Aug. 31 - No. 9 Men's Water Polo (0-0) vs. No. 3 Fordham (0-0), 7:30 a.m. (PT) - The Tigers face their biggest test of the weekend in No. 3 Fordham, which was one of just two teams to knock off Pacific all of last season. Still, the Tigers are 2-1 against Fordham, a team that reached the NCAA Semifinals last year.

Sunday, Aug. 31 - No. 9 Men's Water Polo (0-0) at No. 17 Brown (0-0), 10:30 a.m. (PT) - Pacific concludes the weekend with its first true road test at Brown. It will be the second ranked team the Tigers face over the four matches. Pacific is a perfect 10-0 all-time against Brown including a 21-11 win last season.

Sunday, Aug. 31 - Volleyball (0-0) vs. Idaho State (0-0), 11 a.m. - The last time the Tigers saw the Bengals on the volleyball court it was 1986, and Pacific walked away with the shutout win. This time Pacific will try to replicate the result with an offense that is 98.6% different from last season's - tying for the second most turnover in the country in terms of offense. incoming outside hitter transfers in sophomore Olga Gergacz and redshirt freshman Mila Stojakovic will bolster the Tiger attack alongside fellow transfer, graduate Olivia Keller.

Sunday, Aug. 31 - Men's Soccer (0-2) hosts Utah Tech (0-0-2), 7 p.m. - Returning from a road trip in Texas, Pacific faces Utah Tech in its home opener at Knoles Field. Sunday's contest marks the first all-time meeting between the two programs. Pacific won last year's home opener by a 1-0 margin over UC Davis.
