STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's and women's swimming program was recognized with the Scholar All-America Team Award from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America for the 2025 spring semester.
The Tigers, who put together exceptional seasons during the 2024-25 campaign, posted a 3.33 grade point average on the men's team and a 3.07 GPA on the women's team during the semester.
"Being named CSCAA Scholar All-Americans is a reflection of the incredible discipline and determination our athletes show every day," Pacific head coach
Katelyne Herrington said. "Excelling in the pool and in the classroom is no easy task. It takes focus, sacrifice, and a deep commitment to both personal and team goals. I couldn't be prouder of the way our swimmers represent the true meaning of student-athletes."
To earn the honor, teams were required to achieve a grade point average of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2025 semester.
This year's recognition is the first time the Tigers have earned the honor since the fall of 2022.
Samantha Barany, the executive director of the CSCAA, praised Pacific on its achievement in the following statement.
"This recognition celebrates teams that achieve excellence in the classroom while competing at the highest levels in the pool," Barany said. "Coach Herrington, the staff, and the entire team have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to academic and athletic success, and we are proud to recognize their efforts. I also want to express my gratitude for your support of the swimming programs on your campus. In a time of increasing demands and shifting priorities in college athletics, your investment speaks volumes. By supporting these student-athletes, you are helping shape individuals who contribute meaningfully to campus life and go on to become engaged and loyal alumni. Your commitment is helping secure a stronger future for Pacific."
