Women’s Water Polo Lands 10 on GCC All-Academic Team

STOCKTON, Calif. – Recognized for excelling in the classroom, 10 student-athletes from the Pacific women's water polo program were named to the 2025 Golden Coast Conference All-Academic Team.
 
The 10 All-Academic selections were the most for the Tigers since 2022. Pacific's honorees included Dora Alaksza, Sierra Cavano, Ella Cowan, Anna Crum, Maja Lizy Dulic, Hila Futorian, Millie Jacobson, Addison McGowan, Alicia Petkov and Ilyana Zlobinsky.
 
The requirements to make the team included a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, participation in at least 50 percent of the team's games, being classified as a full-time student and completing at least one academic year at the institution.
 
Alaksza, Futorian and McGowan all became three-time All-Academic selections. Futorian graduated this spring with a degree in mechanical engineering, McGowan graduated with a degree in health and exercise science and Alaksza is pursuing a degree in psychology and is on pace to graduate spring 2026.
 
Cowan, Dulic, Jacobson, Petkov and Zlobinsky all become two-time All-Academic honorees. Cowan is studying toward a degree in bioengineering, Dulic in economics, Jacobson in mechanical engineering, Petkov in bioengineering and Zlobinsky graduated in the spring with a degree in finance.
 
Cavano and Crum each made their first All-Academic Team appearance. Cavano graduated in the spring with a degree in sociology, while Crum is pursing a degree in biological sciences.
 
All 10 Tigers submitted cumulative GPA's above 3.2, and Cowan and Jacobson maintained perfect 4.0's. Women's water polo is one of seven sports at Pacific with at least a 3.40 cumulative GPA as a team with a 3.45.
