STOCKTON, Calif. – Head Coach Mary Beth Gunn announced the addition of Inah Canete as the program's next assistant coach on Tuesday morning.
Canete makes her way to Stockton from Columbia, Missouri where she competed for the Missouri Tigers from 2022-25, splitting time between both singles and doubles courts one and two this most recent season.
"I am so excited to have Inah join our program as a coach. She brings in a wealth of high-level tennis experience, and she is someone who has a passion for college tennis and leading young women," Gunn said.
During the 2023-24 season, Canete peaked as the 16th ranked doubles pair in the country with her sister Mae.
Prior to her time at Missouri, she was a prolific player at the D-II level at Central Oklahoma for one season where she posted a 19-2 singles record and 22-2 doubles record, the latter of which was capped with an ITA Doubles National Championship in 2021 and the number one ranked doubles team in the country.
Canete also brings a familiarity with the California area, having grown up in Los Angeles and attended Venice High School.
