SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announced its 2025 Baseball All-Academic Team with Pacific landing five WCC All-Academic honorable mentions on Tuesday.
Senior
Drake Bicknell, fifth year
John-Howard Bobo, senior
Jakob Guardado, senior
Ethan Shaver and junior
Jake Tandy were the five Pacific representatives named All-Academic Honorable Mentions.
Bicknell, a native of El Dorado Hills, California, put together an impressive campaign for the Tigers, hitting .295 and was second on the team with 31 RBI across 42 games. Bicknell earned his degree in business administration with a concentration in finance.
Bobo, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, recorded a strong third-year season as the main starter in centerfield, slashing a career-best .306 with six extra-base hits, 22 runs and 15 RBI. Bobo graduated with his degree in communication.
As a pair of reliable arms on the mound all year, Shaver, a native of San Jose, California, and Guardado, a native of Tustin, California, worked the bulk of innings in starts and relief appearances across the 2025 season. While Shaver paved the staff with team-best four saves and 37 strikeouts in 51.2 innings, Guardado compiled the second-most innings among Pacific pitchers with 58.2 innings alongside 40 strikeouts. Shaver graduated with his degree in health and exercise science and Guardado graduated with his degree in communication.
Tandy, a native of West Sacramento, California, was a force at the plate all year, hitting .304 with a team-high ten doubles, five home runs, 26 runs, and 26 RBI in 52 games. Tandy came up in clutch situations and proved to be a spark in key moments, including a walk-off grand slam against San Francisco on April 18. Named the WCC Player of the Week on March 17 and to the WCC All-Academic First Team a season ago, Tandy is pursuing his degree in engineering physics.
