Five Tigers Recognized for Their Outstanding Play in Softball All-Conference Awards

5/14/2025 3:00:00 PM

STOCKTON, Calif. – Led by junior Olivia Silvestre's first team All-Conference selection, the Pacific softball program saw five student-athletes earn all-conference honors when the West Coast Conference announced the teams Wednesday afternoon. She is joined by junior Amanda Bricker on the second team, senior Emma Dazell on honorable mention and freshmen Peyton Clifford and Jayleen Scott on the all-freshman team.

Silvestre is the program's fourth first team selection of the decade and the 13th since rejoining the WCC ahead of the 2014 season. The junior finished the season top-five in the conference in batting average, hits, doubles, homeruns, walks, and runs scored.

In addition to her conference accolades, her season goes down as a top-ten single-season effort in doubles, homeruns, batting average and hit by pitches. She also became just the seventh Tiger in program history to hit over .400 in a season.

Meanwhile in her second full season with the Tigers, Bricker made huge strides to become a mainstay in the Pacific lineup. She improved her batting average 168 points, tallied 14 more extra base hits than a season ago, highlighted by belting six home runs, and walked two more times than she struck out.

Like Bricker, Dazell also enjoyed a breakout season in her final campaign. The senior improved her batting average 140 points to finish with a .303 average, more than tripled her previous career high in hits, hit the first three homers of her collegiate career, and finished tied for second on the team in RBIs.

Freshman Peyton Clifford's first season in Stockton ended in high recognition, carrying a .257 batting average through 44 starts. Her season at the plate was highlighted by her first collegiate home run against UC Riverside at the Libby Matson Tournament. She also drove in 15 runs across her 28 hits this season.

Fellow freshman Jayleen Scott's freshman tour saw her emerge as one of the country's most difficult to strike out, going down on strikes only five times in her 44 games played (52nd in the nation). She compiled 30 hits and 18 RBIs while splitting time between the outfield and catching. Scott notched her first collegiate homer against Boise State earlier this season and hit for six extra base hits.

The Tigers will be back in action in 2026 at Bill Simoni Field.
