URBANA, Ill. – The Pacific men's golf program teed off in the opening round of the Urbana Regional on Monday at Atkins Golf Club, standing in ninth place out of the 13-team field.
The Tigers (+6/290) are five strokes back of the two fifth-place teams in Long Beach State and Marquette. Host Illinois, Texas Tech, UNLV and Troy make up the top four teams after the opening 18 holes on day one of the NCAA postseason. The top five teams after three days will advance to the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, California from May 23-28.
Junior
Timothy Jung represents the Tigers leader after one round, standing in a tie for sixth individually following carding a two-under par with five birdies.
Sophomore
Carlos Astiazaran and junior
Travis Robbie are tied for 33rd in the individual standings after two-over pars in the opening day.

Deitrek Gill and redshirt junior
Daniel Henely rounded out Pacific's five-man squad on Monday, earning a four-over par and six-over par, respectively. All five Tigers in the lineup made a birdie on the first hole.
Pacific will rest up and regroup for the second day of the Urbana Regional, looking to find its way into the top five of the team leaderboard by Wednesday's final round. Live scoring for the tournament can be found
