STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific baseball program continues its season-long eight-game homestand by welcoming in Saint Mary's for a three-game West Coast Conference series, beginning Friday at 6 p.m. PDT at Klein Family Field. Saturday's game is scheduled for 6 p.m. PDT and Sunday's series finale has a 1 p.m. first pitch start time.
The Tigers (18-27, 6-9 WCC) have claimed victory in three straight WCC series heading into the three-game set with the Gaels (23-20, 7-8 WCC). Pacific won series over LMU, San Francisco and Santa Clara across the last month.
Leading the Tigers in conference play thus far is fifth year
John-Howard Bobo. Bobo has maintained a .500 batting average within conference games, including six runs and four RBI.
Senior
Drake Bicknell has torched the baseball in conference action as well, hitting .347 with a team-best 18 RBIs and four extra-base hits. Bicknell's overall batting average stands at .311, which is third on the Tigers behind junior
Jake Tandy (.336) and redshirt senior
JT Waldon (.315).
From a pitching perspective, the Tigers' staff has been solidified by a combination of pitchers through WCC play. At the forefront of the rotation has been senior
Adan Perez, who leads Pacific with 49 strikeouts and a 6.07 ERA in 56.1 innings of work. Perez owns a 4-3 record and paces Pacific with ten starts in the 2025 campaign.
Saint Mary's enters the weekend following back-to-back series victories over Pepperdine and LMU. The Gaels also just defeated Nevada last Tuesday during their midweek tilt.
A Gael to look out for this weekend is Eddie Madrigal who has blasted 15 home runs and knocked in 54 RBI on the season. Madrigal has homered in four straight games for Saint Mary's.
The Tigers and the Gaels meet for the 155th time in the series history that dates back to 1967. Pacific seeks its first series victory over Saint Mary's since the 2022 season when the Tigers swept the Gaels in Stockton. Pacific is 9-7 at home against Saint Mary's since 2006.
All three games will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Dennis Ackerman on the call.
