Baseball Begins Seven-Game Road Stretch at LMU

LOS ANGELES – Beginning its longest road swing of the season, the Pacific baseball program will begin a three-game series against LMU at 6 p.m. Friday at Page Stadium.
 
The series will continue with a 3 p.m. game Saturday and a 1 p.m. finale Sunday. The road stretch also includes a game at Cal at 6 p.m. Monday and a three-game series at Cal Baptist next weekend.
 
Pacific (11-19, 0-6 WCC) is coming off a 7-2 win Tuesday over San Jose State to improve to 8-7 at home this year. Junior Rylan Evans knocked two hits including his third homer of the season, while senior JT Waldon went 2-for-2 at the plate with a run scored.
 
Waldon is hitting for a team-high .354 average, which ranks top-five in the West Coast Conference, to go along with a team-high 22 RBIs. He's tallied a hit in each of the last three games. Junior Jake Tandy is batting for a .341 average, which is top-10 in the league, and has a .416 on-base percentage.
 
LMU (15-14, 3-3 WCC) is 11-5 at home this year. The Lions opened conference play by taking two of three at home against San Diego before dropping two of three at Portland. Beau Ankeney leads the team with a .353 average and a league-leading 10 homers.
 
The Tigers are going for their first series win against the Lions since taking two of three at home in 2018. Pacific is looking to win a road series at LMU for the first time in program history.
 
Pacific's next home game is Tuesday, April 15 when it hosts CSU Bakersfield in a 5:05 p.m. start.
