Pacific Erupts for Season-High 16 Runs in Series-Clinching Win

STOCKTON, Calif. – Behind a season-high 16 runs on a season-high 22 hits, the Pacific baseball program torched the baseball around the ballpark, securing a 16-12 victory over San Francisco on Saturday afternoon at Klein Family Field.

The Tigers (16-25, 4-8 WCC) secured their first home conference series victory of the season, downing the Dons (16-24, 5-10 WCC) in a barn burner of a series finale.
For Pacific head coach Reed Peters, it marks his second conference series victory of the 2025 campaign as the Tigers laced 21 of their 22 hits as singles in the high-octane effort offensively.

"Our plan was to execute to the short game, and we did," Peters said. "I called everything from our offensive card today. It led to 21 singles and a victory of 16 runs. I was very happy with how we won today."

Every starter in Pacific lineup recorded at least one hit, led by an offensive outburst from senior Drake Bicknell, who knocked in a career-high five RBI along with three hits. Freshman Diego Davis slashed a career-high four hits in his 4-for-5 day at the plate. Davis also brought home two Tigers as well as scored twice.

Junior Jake Tandy was the only Tiger to record an extra-base hit, roping a two-RBI double during a key seventh-inning rally to keep momentum on Pacific's side.
Freshman Justin Iglesias (1-1) earned his first career victory after pitching 2.0 innings in relief. Tyler Prystajko (1-2) was given the loss.

The Tigers and Dons had scored in every frame of the contest as the visitors jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the opening inning. After not scoring in the bottom of the first inning, Pacific proceeded to score in every single inning afterward, capitalizing on several situations while holding on at the end for the 16-12 victory.

16 runs by the Tigers represents the most in a victory at home since April 17, 2021, when Pacific scored 17 runs in a 17-12 victory over Long Beach State.

With their second consecutive victory, the Tigers improve to 10-9 at Klein Family Field and are one win away from tying their season win total from the 2021 campaign. Saturday's victory also marks the first time Pacific has won multiple conference series in the same year since 2019. The Tigers earn their first WCC series victory over the Dons since 2016.

Pacific will have no midweek contest this upcoming week, meaning the Tigers will continue West Coast Conference action on the road at Santa Clara next week, beginning Friday through Sunday.
