This Week in Pacific Athletics

STOCKTON, Calif. – A loaded home week includes beach volleyball, baseball, softball and women's tennis all competing on campus. Beach volleyball and women's tennis will host Senior Days, while baseball and softball will play both midweek and weekend WCC series' prior to Easter.

Tuesday, April 15 - Softball (13-25, 2-4 WCC) hosts Stanford (29-8), 4 p.m. - Pacific hosts Stanford for the first time since 2015 - recent games at Bill Simoni Field have netted close games between the schools with two of the last three being decided either by two runs, or a Tiger win.

Tuesday, April 15 - Baseball (14-23) hosts CSU Bakersfield (14-23), 5:05 p.m. - The Tigers begin a four-game homestand, welcoming in the Roadrunners for the midweek contest at Klein Family Field. Both teams bring in identical records as Pacific seeks to even up the season series.

Wednesday, April 16 - Softball (13-25, 2-4 WCC) hosts Sacramento State (20-18), 4 p.m. - Pacific brings the Hornets to Stockton to make-up a game that was rained out on April 1st. Freshman Presley Barnes is a player to watch for the Tigers as she is hitting .389 in the month of April and notched multi-hit games in consecutive contests for the first time in her collegiate career.

Wednesday, April 16 - Friday, April 18 - Women's Track at Bryan Clay Invitational (Azusa, Calif.) - The Pacific women's track and field team takes part in the Bryan Clay Invitational. Last week, junior Sophia Livingston broke the school record in 800m event with a time of 2:18.02 at the Chico Invitational.

Thursday, April 17 - Men's Tennis (13-8, 4-2 WCC) at Portland (7-9, 1-5 WCC), 11 a.m. - The Tigers swept both meetings with the Pilots last season and are looking to finish the regular season 5-2 in the WCC and match the highest amount of conference victories in the Head Coach Robin Goodman era.

Thursday, April 17 - Beach Volleyball (1-18) hosts Sacramento State (6-16), 2 p.m. - The team will be celebrating senior day against the Hornets, honoring senior Ashley Davies and graduate Margherita Giani. Pacific has seen Sacramento State twice already this season, falling in both contests.

Thursday, April 17 - Baseball (14-23, 2-7 WCC) hosts San Francisco (14-22, 4-8 WCC), 6 p.m. - Pacific resumes West Coast Conference action at home, taking on San Francisco in a three-game series at Klein Family Field. The Tigers last year won the first game in the series against the Dons, winning by a 12-7 margin.

Friday, April 18 - Softball (13-25, 2-4 WCC) hosts LMU (18-22, 3-2 WCC), 12/2:30 p.m. (DH) - The Tigers' last two games against LMU netted close results with Pacific taking a 5-4 victory and the Lions a 2-1 victory. A series win would be the program's first over LMU since sweeping the Lions in Stockton in 2017. Junior Amanda Bricker is a player to watch as her six homers are just two away from cracking the all-time single season top ten.

Friday, April 18 - Women's Tennis (5-14, 0-6 WCC) hosts Pepperdine (10-11, 3-1 WCC), 1 p.m. - A win over the Waves would be the first in program history. Sophomore Indiya McLeod will be a pivotal piece to the win as she has scored points for her team in three conference matches this season.

Friday, April 18 - Baseball (14-23, 2-7 WCC) hosts San Francisco (14-22, 4-8 WCC), 6 p.m. - The Tigers continue their series against the Dons on Friday night at Klein Family Field. Last week, graduate student Brian McClellin hit a pair of home runs as a catalyst at the top of the batting order for the Tigers.

Friday, April 18 - No. 23 Women's Water Polo (12-8, 5-1 GCC) hosts No. 8 Fresno State (11-7, 5-1 GCC), 7 p.m. - The Tigers enter play having won four consecutive GCC matches. They will conclude a four-game home stand Friday after winning the first three games of it. Friday is Senior Day as Pacific concludes the regular season and is still in contention for first-place.

Saturday, April 19 - Women's Tennis (5-14, 0-6 WCC) hosts LMU (6-10, 4-2 WCC), 11 a.m. - Prior to the match, seniors Megan Carmichael, Zara Fung, Liza Mladentseva and Alexis Sam will be honored for their contributions to the program. A win would also be the first over the Lions in program history.

Saturday, April 19 - Softball (13-25, 2-4 WCC) hosts LMU (18-22, 3-2 WCC), 12 p.m. - Freshmen Alexa Lewis and Kiley Shea are key players to watch for in this series as both had strong performances in game three against Santa Clara. The former tallied the win with 5.2 innings in relief while the latter started the game, only giving up two runs in 3.1 innings of work.

Saturday, April 19 - Beach Volleyball (1-18) at Saint Mary's (17-14), 1 p.m. - The Tigers and Gaels have met once before this season with that match going to Saint Mary's. A Pacific win would be the first since 2015, which was played in Moraga.

Saturday, April 19 - Baseball (14-23, 2-7 WCC) hosts San Francisco (14-22, 4-8 WCC), 1 p.m. - Pacific closes out the series against San Francisco with a Saturday matinee at Klein Family Field. The Tigers were victorious last Saturday in an extra innings 9-7 win at California Baptist.
