MARICOPA, Ariz. – The Pacific men's golf team wrapped up its three-tournament swing in Arizona, finishing in seventh place on Tuesday afternoon at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.

The Tigers (-15/849) finished in the top third of the tightly contested 23-team field. Long Beach State (-37) was crowned champion, followed by Iowa State (-23) in second place.

Sophomore Carlos Astiazaran was Pacific's top finisher with six-under-par, which placed him in a tie for top nine among the individuals. All five Pacific golfers finished in the top half of the field.

"Today's blustery and windy conditions didn't make the course as gettable as we played yesterday," Pacific head coach John Cook said. "We definitely keep playing ourselves into contention and will use that momentum for next week at UC Davis."

Junior Travis Robbie capped his two-day total with a tie for 21st, carding a three-under-par.

Junior Timothy Jung stayed consistent with an even par Tuesday, slotting him in a tie for 26th place.

Freshman Brasen Briones rounded out the team scoring with a one-over-par overall while redshirt junior Daniel Henely climbed up the leaderboard for a tie for 48th place.

The Tigers return to the Golden State and look ahead to the final regular season test in the El Macero Classic, hosted by UC Davis from April 11-13.
