SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Pacific men's golf program completed the second and third rounds of the Desert Mountain Collegiate, finishing in sixth place within the 17-team field Sunday at Desert Mountain Golf Club.
The Tigers (+10/874) battled all day through the two rounds with junior
Timothy Jung leading the way with a one-under-par.
"We had some stretches of really great holes today and a few holes that caused some problems for everyone," head coach
John Cook said. "The course setup was a true test!"
Two golfers finished in the top 20 in Jung (T-13th) and sophomore
Carlos Astiazaran (T-16th), who wrapped up his day with an even par.
Sophomore
Justin Bai concluded his performance in the top half of the field of individuals, finishing in a tie for 40th place.
Junior
Deitrek Gill and junior
Travis Robbie were close to each other at the end, finishing in 42nd and 46th, respectively.
The Tigers have a quick turnaround, returning to the golf course for the Grand Canyon Invitational Tuesday and Wednesday.
