STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific baseball program looks to continue its winning ways at Klein Family Field, carrying a 6-2 home record against Cal State Bakersfield on Tuesday night.
The Tigers (7-5) return home from a three-game road series in Seattle and are prepped for their third midweek matchup of the season, facing the Roadrunners (3-9).
Sophomore
Braeden Schnabel rides a hot bat into Tuesday following his 4-for-11 weekend against the Redhawks. Schnabel hit a grand slam for his first hit as a Tiger last Friday. He then hit his second home run in as many games in a 6-1 victory in game two of the series.
Fifth year
John-Howard Bobo is the team leader in batting average with a .345 clip that features eight runs and six RBI.
On the mound, the Tigers have been steady, holding a 4.81 ERA through a dozen games, which paces the West Coast Conference.
Bakersfield enters the matchup with a 3-9 record, most recently defeating San Diego in the series finale. The Roadrunners have lost series to Lamar, Nevada and San Diego as part of their non-conference slate.
Nick Mascaro has manufactured a team-best .422 batting average with three home runs. Evan Cloyd hit a pair of home runs in the CSUB's last contest. Michael Riley has been effective in the pen for the Roadrunners, owning a 2.51 ERA in 14.1 innings.
The Tigers and Roadrunners are even in the all-time series at eight games apiece that dates back to 2009. Both teams run-ruled each other in their respective home parks last year. In an 11-1 win at home in 2024, Pacific hit four home runs in the effort offensively.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with a first pitch slated for 5:05 pm.
