WTEN Recap vs. EWU 2025

Women’s Tennis Soundly Dispatches Eastern Washington

Box Score STOCKTON, Calif. – For the 100th win of her collegiate career, Head Coach Mary Beth Gunn's Pacific club took down Eastern Washington 6-1 Monday afternoon at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center, marking the first home triumph of her Tiger tenure.

The match got off to a strong start for Pacific (4-9), sweeping all three doubles courts without much resistance. Sophomores Milena Maiorova and Rayna Sugai found a rhythm competing together, winning their second match in three chances as a pair.

Singles was no less successful, especially for Maiorova and Sugai, who both won their matches in convincing fashion on courts two and five – giving up only a combined seven games between the two.

Senior Alexis Sam notched the match clinching point on court four with her straight set win before senior Megan Carmichael won a few minutes later.

Freshman Maggie Hoe got her first singles win over a division one foe on court six.
