Box Score MORAGA, Calif. – Returning from nearly a two-week hiatus, the Pacific women's tennis team played Saint Mary's to very tight sets but ultimately fell 4-1 at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Senior
Megan Carmichael notched Pacific's (3-9) point on the afternoon in the singles portion, defeating her opponent on court one. The senior put up a fierce fight in doubles as well, pushing her opponents as far as the match would allow with her partner, freshman
Maggie Hoe.
Sophomore
Rayna Sugai, paired with fellow sophomore
Milena Maiorova, put the Tigers in front early in the doubles portion with a 6-2 win on court three. Sugai proved equally strong in singles as she was one game away from scoring a second point for Pacific on court five when play was halted.
Junior
Indiya McLeod had the Tigers in position to contend for a third point as she was one game away from forcing a third set on court three when play ended.
Up next for the Tigers is a quick pit stop to the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center on Monday to host Eastern Washington. First serve in the doubles is set for 1 p.m. and can be watched via live stream on track tennis.
