STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific softball turned three double plays, caught a runner stealing and cut a runner down at the plate across Tuesday's doubleheader with Boise State, but fell 7-2 in game one and 9-6 in game two at Bill Simoni Field.
GAME 1
Pacific (9-18) held a brief lead after the third inning, courtesy of freshman
Jayleen Scott's first collegiate homerun and a sacrifice fly from senior
Delaney Scully. Outside of two hits in the half inning, the Tigers would only manage a hit in the first and fifth innings.
Scott's homerun was Pacific's 17th of the season, putting the team just one homerun from tying the most by any Pacific team in the past five full seasons. On pace for 32 homers at the end of the regular season, the 2025 Tigers would eclipse the 2007 and 2017 teams for the third most single-season homers in program history.
Picking up the offense's slack, the Tiger defense turned a double play to get out of the first, caught a runner stealing in the third, and struck out four across seven frames.
Senior
Hannah Glad picked up the loss for the Tigers, moving to 0-4 after allowing five runs on five hits in 1.1 innings of action. She appeared in relief for sophomore
Justice Alcaraz who navigated the opening four innings and allowed two runs, only one earned, in her longest outing of the season allowing two or fewer runs since Mar. 1 against UC Riverside.
GAME 2
The Tigers fell behind by five runs early but clawed back as close as two runs after a big sixth inning. Junior
Asia Lee brought two runners home on a double and then drew and errant throw to bring home a third runner for her first RBIs of the season. Four batters later, junior
Amanda Bricker brought in the fourth Tiger of the inning off an RBI single.
Silvestre also notched her 16th RBI of the season during the contest, bringing her into a second-place tie with senior
Emma Dazell for most on the team.
Freshman
Alexa Lewis was the pitcher of record, moving to 1-3.
UP NEXT
The Tigers are back on the road for three games with Portland State to conclude the 2025 WCC/Big Sky Challenge. All three games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
