SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Hitting .550 across five road games last week, junior Jake Tandy was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Monday.

Tandy, a native of West Sacramento, California, went 11-for-20 with seven runs, three RBI, three extra-base hits and a home run in a 14-2 win over Indiana State on Saturday. Tandy is the first Tiger to be named WCC Player of the Week since James Free II during the 2019 season.

Pacific (10-11) has been aided by the bat of Tandy, who is now hitting .379 for the season with 25 hits in 66 at-bats alongside seven extra-base hits and a pair of home runs. His .379 batting average stands fifth in the WCC.

The Tigers look ahead to facing the Hornets in this week's midweek matchup tomorrow at 6 p.m. at Klein Family Field. Tandy hit a three-run home run that sparked a comeback over the Hornets in their last home game, which was a 6-5 victory.
